A posting on behalf of Dani Iannarelli of tangodynamics.com.
Just to inform you that registration process for CITA-2009 is now open, at: www.tangodynamics.com/conindetanar.html
*As usual, I am the Group Organiser covering the UNITED KINGDOM area*
This is the original, largest, longest-running and BEST tango festival on the world stage, including classes/workshops and performances/shows comprising the world’s TOP tangueros all in the one place at the one time! Personally, this event will be my 10th visit to Buenos Aires in 12 years, and my 8th CITA event…! I know what I’m talking about when I say that it is TRULY THE BEST. It’s the old story… you get out what you put in.
The registration process is simple, clear and efficient and is based on a ‘first-come – first-served’ principle. In other words, the earlier you register for CITA, the higher up you are on the class
selection register. The class schedule will not be finalised and displayed until later in the year or even the beginning of 2009.
However when the class schedule is displayed, class-choice preference will be given to those who have registered early. This is important considering that the most popular classes/teachers will – obviously -
be full-up first (especially so for women). There are two package options for CITA registration:
Package “A” (24 classes) is at:
www.tangodynamics.com/pacforcit.html
Package “B” (15 classes) is at:
www.tangodynamics.com/pacbforcit.html
My organisation/group schedule will include flight recommendations (you book yourself, though), registration coordination for the usual hotel my CITA group uses, advice on levels/types of classes/teachers to select/register and general organisation of the group (for meals, milongas, etc etc etc) within Buenos Aires.
Being part of a Group (as 99% of CITA delegates are) has the following benefits:
i. Discount of 10% off the registration fee for CITA (you MUST be part of the Club~Tango*La Dolce Vita~ group to qualify for this);
ii. Flight advice (though you do have to book individually);
iii. Hotel advice (we annually stay at the same close proximity hotel for the CITA event);
iv. Advice on choice of classes/level/teachers;
v. Group sit-down meals/get-togethers/excursions;
vi. Group coordinated travel to milongas/shows etc;
vii. Reserved ~Tango*La Dolce Vita~ Group-table/area at milongas/shows;
viii. Having a personal association with the organiser (Fabian Salas) and many of the teachers/administration, I can certainly work to ensure the best possible time and experience for my Group.
OVERALL SUMMARY
1. The registration process is simple, clear and efficient and is based on a ‘first-come – first-served’ principle. In other words, the earlier you register for CITA, the higher up you are on the class selection register – early/first preference for classes choice;
2. When registering, it’s VERY important to remember to enter the name of your Group/Group Organiser (that’s me/~Tango*La Dolce Vita~) in the respective field line;
3. 10% Discount for Club~Tango*La Dolce Vita~ Group excursion (see
above)
4. INFORM ME prior to registering (or are thinking about it/or are about to) so I can keep my list updated (even though I will be updated by the CITA administration as to who has registered as part of my group) and to give you the discount coupon code for ~Tango*La Dolce Vita~;
5. Remember… registration does fill up very quickly after the first month or so. Advice? …do it as EARLY as possible!
***If you would like to come to Buenos Aires with us and join us for this CITA event as part of the ~Tango*La Dolce Vita~ Group excursion, please send me a notification of your interest (no commitment) as soon as possible***

You show the Buenos Aires Tango Festival taking place March 15-22, 2009, another website shows it on Feb 28 – March 8 2009, yet another website shows it in August of 2009.
Which is right?
I have no idea, as it says at the top the post is on behalf of Dani Iannarelli.
Are you thinking of the 7e Mundial de Tango in August, which is different from CITA.
